The first independent AS4187 compliant outsourced Theatre Instrument Reprocessing facility in Australia. The concept was presented to Kathleen Hume in July 2018, and Hume Healthcare Architects were appointed as the Principal Consultant and they set about finalising the Design Brief and Schedule of Accommodation for a medical device reprocessing facility with the capacity to supply theatre packs to two 1000 bed hospitals simultaneously. The first facility in Epping would act as a prototype for a National roll-out of these facilities in VIC, NSW, QLD, SA, and Sterequip Head Office facility in Perth, WA.
