Hume Healthcare Architects were appointed to design the masterplan for the G.75 Endoscopy Procedure Unit at Sir Charles Gairdiner Hospital for North Metropolitan Health Service. The existing Endoscopy unit is non-compliant with current guidelines and standards.
An audit and review of the existing facility was undertaken, followed by a masterplan design to meet User requirements and also to be compliant with Australasian Health Facility Guidelines.
There was an imminent need for a new compliant Endoscopy Procedure Room, which formed the basis of the Stage 1 Scope of Works. Other refurbishments included in Stage 1 works were a compliant Sterile Store, Deboxing room, Equipment Store, Cleaners Room, Staff Workroom and Office, Staff Tea Room, Staff Change room and Staff Toilet.
Hume Healthcare Architects were also appointed to undertake the role of Superintendent for NMHS during the Stage 1 works construction stage.
